“We travelled to Sri Lanka to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and, dare I say it, but I think the trip was even better than our honeymoon!! Alex offered excellent advice on where to go and what see to make the most of our trip and to keep both of us interested and happy. The hotels were absolutely stunning, the people are incredibly welcoming and happy and the service was exceptionally high. Alex had told the hotels in advance that it was our anniversary and at every hotel there was a little surprise waiting for us in our room which made it even more special. A special mention to our guide, Ananda, who was incredibly knowledgeable and managed to read us as a couple straight away, giving my husband the brief history and, as he wandered off amongst the ruins, giving me a lot more detail.”

“Bhutan was incredibly interesting and the landscape was breathtaking. The hotels recommended were all fabulous and the food was delicious. This little known country is a wonderful, peaceful place to visit, where they deem traffic lights too unfriendly! Tourist tax is high and you have to take a local guide so I would highly recommend booking through a tour operator like Wix Squared who has an excellent team on the ground. I certainly feel lucky to have been able to visit Bhutan under Wix Squared’s guidance and to experience the Bhutanese culture and tradition.”

It is one of those places I will never forget, the contrast from the streets outside to the calm and luxury in the riad is incredible. All in all it was a perfect holiday with a great mix of everything and I can’t thank you enough. It was superbly organised from start to finish and allowed us to see so much without any stress. The little extras from the app, tipping guide and recommendations were fantastic. All of the activities organised were fun and enjoyable. “Our room had been upgraded and included a vast bath of plunge pool proportions! Phnom Penh is an extrordinary city and so busy. I just loved the manic traffic particularly the bikes and scooters weaving around with whole families or businesses on board! Our adventure with the pedlos was such fun and the guide was so attentive and amusing. Our guide in Siem Reap was first class and had a wealth of knowledge of the various temples. What a fabulous hotel here and well chosen. The Cambodia Circus was just fantastic and so was the day on the river. Magical! Then the journey to the countryside finishing with dinner in such a lovely setting with musicians playing for us. Our final morning tuk tuk breakfast was a lovely surprise! All of this was beyond our expectations so thank you so much. Alex there is much more to say but we have had a simply wonderful, unforgettable time in Cambodia and are so grateful to you for making it happen. Your personal guided tour is such a great way to see these far away places.”

I think the tone was really set by the team at Riad Farnatchi, who made us feel welcomed, supported, comfortable and happy. The riad is stunning and we loved every minute of Marrakech. Our guide Nouri was great…Youssef was also a fantastic driver! Having him with us consistently throughout the trip was great. He was fun, professional, always on time (even when we weren’t!!) and a really excellent human being. The desert camp was nice, also great staff. Would recommend that. We didn’t ride camels but we enjoyed relaxing in the sun. The hike in the mountains was really excellent…we really enjoyed Fez..the food tour though was fantastic. Khalid was super knowledgeable and interesting, and took us to some super delicious and fun places. Overall, this was a truly wonderful trip. We weren’t sure what to expect from Morocco but we were easily in love with it. Thank you so much for everything!!”

“The trip did all that we wanted it to do – update our understanding of modern Japan and get us out of business mode and into the wider country. The itinerary worked very well, covering a good range of places with enjoyable journeys in between. Your advice on timing meant that we had the best of the autumn colours wherever we went. The guided tours were just right for us – informed and informative. Yuki’s joke about the diet needed for a long life will be much repeated and my origami of Fuji san is on my bookshelves. Keikko’s family farming background was of real interest to us, discussing the economics and status of providers. The trains, as we expected, were perfect. The peace of two full days in Tomonoura was perfect at the half way stage. We also had sunshine on the drive home so nothing spoiled a very splendid trip. Gold Star overall and many thanks.”
