For somewhere a little unusual but truly special, Bhutan fits the bill nicely. There are some incredible luxury boutique hotels scattered around the country and we can even arrange a spiritual blessing in one of the monasteries. You could also consider flying onto Thailand or Oman for some relaxing beach time.

Not the obvious choice for a honeymoon but with an abundance of luxury palaces, forts, and charming boutique heritage hotels it is easy to have a memorable and affordable honeymoon in India. Rajasthan and Kerala would be our regional recommendations.

Indonesia is the perfect summer honeymoon destination. Fly via Singapore or Kuala Lumpur and island hop around Java, Bali, Moyo, Lombok and Sumba. For the ultimate in luxury, charter a boat around the Komodo islands or helicopter over the crater of a volcano.

Fly straight into Kuala Lumpur, then travel to the historic state of Malacca, the beautiful Cameron Highlands, the orangutan forests of Borneo and finish on the laidback beaches of Langkawi.
Best visited: November–April for west coast, March-October for east coast. May-September for Borneo.
The Maldives is the classic honeymoon destination. The list of hotels is endless, so talk to someone who has been to over 20 islands and can speak from experience. For 2 weeks we suggest combining 2 different hotels or hopping across the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka or south India for a week.

Sri Lanka is an all-time favourite of ours for a honeymoon, offering incredible value for money. Stunning boutique properties disperse Ceylon with culture in the north, beautiful scenery in the tea plantations, wildlife in the national parks and relaxation on the coast, this island has it all.
