Golden sand and palm fringed beaches line the perimeter of this serendipitous island. The east coast is more remote and untouched whilst the west is more developed. Our suggestion would be to focus on the south, around Tangalle, where the whales gather in season.
Phuket and Koh Samui are teaming with luxury slick hotels, golf courses and an active night life. If you wish for a more tranquil setting take the road less travelled to more remote beaches, where we of course have our favourites but we don’t want to give away all our secrets.
